About rock

Where is all that rock coming from? And how is it made? Read on!

Norwegian rock is used for our North Sea projects. Norway has an inexhaustible stock! Rock is produced in quarries.
A quarry is a type of open-pit mine from which rock is extracted. Rock is blasted into parts which are then loaded into crushers. These machines crunch the rock into smaller and regular grades. With loaders and dumptrucks the rock is transported on a stockpile. From there it is transported into our ship by means of conveyorbelts.
