Turtle-doves feel at home wherever the ball rolls

Football - While the majority of the Breda supporters are preparing their trip home to The Netherlands, Dave Macleod (44) and Karin Rijnders (40) last night already planned their day trips for the days ahead in Jerevan. They will only leave Armenia next Monday. Just to travel onwards to Poland.

Because they go wherever NAC-Breda goes. The amorous couple also follows the Dutch national team for all matches. "We guess one could say we are totally crackers, yes"

Except the love for each other, Dave and Karin share the love for football as much as for travelling. When by the end of next week the couple returns home to Breda, the next football trips are approaching quickly already: first with the Orange brigade to Scotland, then to Australia. And in between with NAC-Breda maybe even to, say Italy or Turkey. Macleod: "Friends sometimes say that I have the woman to dream of. All of my spare time I can spend on NAC-Breda and other football related trips. And on top of things spend time with the one I love most. Really ideal!"

There´s neither doubt that the two were meant to be a couple nor that the wedding is approaching. For a long time the only question was: when? Initially the globetrotters fancied the idea of 9 September 2009 (09-09-09), until they checked the playing calendar: "Scotland meets The Netherlands that day."

Then it should be some time in 2010, they decided last year. Because marriage during the World Championship in South Africa would be no option at all, of course. Eventually they choose the "safe" Saturday March 6th, 7:30 PM as a matter of course. The time they started "their" Saturday night for years. Macleod: "NAC-Breda lately plays so very seldom at Saturday nights, that we were prepared to take the risk..."

Months later they regret their decision ever so much, they confess in Jerevan. For that night rival PSV-Eindhoven visits Breda...
